About Us

Thank you for visiting our website!

Michigan NORML is our state’s oldest cannabis reform advocacy organization. We are the only organization in Michigan that advocates specifically on behalf of cannabis consumers. Please click here to read more about our roots.

NORML’s mission is to move public opinion sufficiently to legalize the responsible use of marijuana by adults, and to serve as an advocate for consumers to assure they have access to high quality marijuana that is safe, convenient and affordable. Michigan NORML’s mission also includes working hard for Michigan cannabis consumers by engaging elected officials and bureaucrats on policy issues. Please click here to read more.

Michigan NORML is a Directorship. Please click here to meet our Board of Directors.

Michigan NORML supports the positions articulated by national NORML. Additionally, we have also developed policy positions that are specific to Michigan. Find out exactly what we stand for, click here.

Michigan NORML and our supporters actively engage our state and federal legislators. Several board members regularly meet with legislators to discuss policy issues, or to testify at hearings or departmental board meetings. Engaging our legislators is tedious and thankless work, often with little result to show for a large amount of effort, but lobbying is a vital part of what Michgan NORML does and we do it effectively. Read more about our missionĀ here. You can also look here for more information about lobbying.

Nobody in Michigan has commissioned more poll questions about cannabis than Michigan NORML, and polls have become part of our identity! We have partnered with our state’s most trusted polling firm, EPIC-MRA, to take periodic measurements of voter support for reforming cannabis laws here. We have conducted polling since 2013.
