Important Election Dates in Michigan
Michigan Cannabis Community members are strongly encouraged to vote IN ALL ELECTIONS:
STATE OF MICHIGAN PRIMARY ON TUESDAY AUGUST 4, 2026 with EARLY VOTING STARTING JUNE 20, 2026 UNTIL AUGUST 3rd, 2026 @ 4PM
STATE OF MICHIGAN GENERAL ELECTION ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 3, 2026 with EARLY VOTING STARTING SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 UNTIL NOVEMBER 2nd, 2026 @ 4PM

How to Change Your Vote Before Election Day
Lets say that you just found out that the person you voted for on your absentee ballot does not support cannabis laws or, enacted legislation that was detrimental to the Cannabis Industry.
State of Michigan Election Law allows you to change your vote up to 5pm on the second Friday before in person voting on election day. You must go to your City or Township clerk, sign a written statement to spoil your old ballot and, your clerk will issue you a new one. You are strongly urged to vote that new ballot in person or, drop it off in the mail or, deposit it in a official election mail box provided your city or township clerk.
You can also change your vote by 4pm on the day before an election by signing a written statement at clerks office or, a early voting center and, vote in person on the new ballot. Do not take that ballot home! If you do take it home, it must be in the possession of the clerk before 8pm on election day. If you go to your precinct to vote, you must surrender that ballot and vote in person.
Once your vote is tabulated, you cannot spoil your ballot!
