Daniel Dario Trevino from Lansing Michigan is the longest serving Medical Marijuana prisoner in the United States of America. He is currently serving a 15 year federal prison sentence for the following crimes.

On August 23, 2019 Danny Trevino was found guilty by a jury of his "peers" in Federal Court in Grand Rapids Michigan on 10 counts of:

  • Maintaining a Drug-Involved Premises,

  • Conspiracy to manufacture, distribute, and possess with the intent to sell marijuana.

Mr. Trevino was convicted of possessing 100 or more plants under federal law. The business name was Hydro-World with locations in Lansing and Jackson Michigan operating under state law as defined by the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act of 2008. HIs business was harassed and raided 26 times by local by the Michigan State Police. He was found not guilty in all of the cases in state court. This policy was promoted by Attorney General Bill Schuette and 1st ward Lansing City Council-member Jodi Washington. It targeted mostly minority business owners and, others who did not have the capital assets to stay in business in 2010 under the Snyder administration.

This action enraged former State Attorney General Bill Schuette so much that he went Judge shopping at the Western District Federal Court in Grand Rapids Michigan. On January 28, 2020, Trevino was sentenced to 15 years and eight months in prison for medical marijuana from Judge Paul L. Maloney.

We are demanding that our elected Federal legislators perform an onsite visit to his facility to expedite his release. Every Senator and Representative is authorized to visit a federal facility as a part of their oversight duties of federal facilities. This message is for entire Michigan Congressional Delegation (2 Senators and 13 Representatives) to take action and get this man released immediately.

While Mr. Trevino is in a Federal Prison Cell in Terre Haute Indiana, Marijuana has become a billion dollar industry in 40 out of 50 States in the United States of America. It takes 38 states to change the constitution for Federal Legalization of Cannabis. Additionally, we are deeply disappointed by President Joe Biden for not pardoning Mr. Trevino. We hope that President Donald Trump can pardon Mr. Trevino immediately to make things right.

It is high time to bring our P.O.Ws.(Prisoners Of Weed) out of federal prison and remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances List.
